The Dropped Stitch
I was happily knitting away on my Citron when I laid it out to admire my work. What should I notice? A dropped stitch. All the way before the first ruched area. So late last night, I frogged it.
Then I started the second sock.
Nice progress, eh? I'm about halfway through the heel. I had my dad try the first sock on since he wears the same shoe size as Mike. He then requested a pair for himself.
I finished the toe and I think I'll work on this sock today. Size 11 socks in a charcoal grayish black. Wish me luck!
Happy Knitting!

New Years' Knitting
It's a new year and once again, I've decided to start a blog. Actually, I've started two. This time, I intend to keep it up and running. I hope you all will hold me to this.
On Dec. 31, I received a Knitpicks order.
On Dec. 31, I received a Knitpicks order.
- Stroll in Agate Heather (1), Aurora Heather (1), Buckskin (1), Grass (2), and Shoreline Twist (2).
- Stroll Tonal in Royalty (1).
- Stroll Sport in Elk Heather (3).
- Shine Sport in Arbor (3).
- Comfy Fingering in Black (2).
- Comfy Bulky in Fedora (2).
- Comfy Worsted in Fedora (7), and Pomegranate (3).
- Swish Bulky in Marlin (2).
- Alpaca Cloud in Tango (1).
- Knitting Needle Coil Wraps in Small (1).
- Options Nickel Plated Fixed Circulars in 24in. Sz. 1s.
I then decided to start Bella's Mittens using the Swish Bulky. While I don't particularly enjoy Twilight, I thought these were really cute and I needed something easy to work on while watching Season 1 of Bones.
Here's a picture of them.
After I finished those, my mom reminded me that I promised my cousin's husband some socks. I'm using the Stroll Sport I got. Here's the first one.
It's just a basic toe-up sock with 2/2 rib on the instep.
Next, I'm working on Citron using the Alpaca Cloud. I just finished the second section. I'm really enjoying it, although I did end up with 10 extra stitches. Oh well.
I'm also working on a pair of socks of my own design. Pictures and links will be up once I get the pattern written.
Now, I'm off to watch season 2 of Bones and work on the second sock and maybe my Citron.
Happy knitting!
